Sally Hansen Insta-Dri anti-chip top coat and a pineapple

28.11.2013

It is official - I am the laziest person on the planet. This review was supposed to be published this summer. This is the reason why you can see a pineapple in the photos. At the moment it is snowing outside and I am here showing you tropical fruits. Never mind let's get back to the review!

My favourite top coat for nails is Jessica Brillance, you can read more about it here. Sally Hansen is not a brand that is easy to get your hands on in Bulgaria and when I saw the top coat Insta-Dri (I have heard only positive things about it) I immediately decided to try it. The product promises to dry your nail polish in seconds. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri anti-chip top coat is supposed to make your manicure chip-resistant and shiny for up to 10 days. You get 13,3 ml. of product.

The first thing that I want to point out is that this top coat really dries ultra fast. In this department it is an absolute favourite. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri definitely makes your nail polish shiny too but it is not as shiny as Jessica Brillance.
Sally Hansen top coat smells like chemicals, the scent is not strong but it is definitely unpleasant. Of course after it dries the smell is gone. My nail polish lasts around 3 days with this top coat which is far less than the promised 10 days.

Overall the product is not bad if you are looking for a fast drying top coat and nothing more than that. I personally prefer the Jecissa alternative mainly because of the smell.
