It's so cold outside today and at the same time it is sunny too. I managed to take some pictures for the blog. Yeah! The sun outside inspired me today to show you a makeup set that will be great for summer. Benefit go TROPI CORAL contains Benefit CORALista Box o'Powder, the highlighter High Beam, the cheek stain chachatint and the lip gloss CORALista Ultra Plush. They are all travel size products and I think that they are a really nice selection. I haven't used any of them before. As far as I know this set is not limited edition. There is another similar set available in Sephora called Feelin Dandy.
CORALista is one of the most loved Benefit products. The colour is a coral shade with a gorgeous shimmer running through it. It's really pretty and it smells amazing of tropical fruits. It looks kind of similar to one of the KIKO blushes that I own Ipanema peach (review here), but the KIKO one has more red in it. The CORALista blush that I got in the set is 3 g.. I would definitely buy the full size product. I quite like the Benefit blushes and I slowly but surely collect them. hervana and bella bamba are the next ones in my wish list. There is a mini brush in the set too, but I am not a big fan of it.
Benefit Benetint is Benefit's cult product. I hadn't tried it before and I was very excited to get my hands on these adorable minis of the coral shade chachatint and the highlighter High beam. Chachatint is a coral shade. The formulation is quite watery and not very opaque. When it dries, it does not budge. I quite like chachatint as a blush, the color is very pretty and natural looking. It lasts forever and I need an oil-based cleanser to remove it. The formulation works great - it dries very quickly, but the color is not that opaque so you still have some room for mistakes. Applied on the lips chachatint gives just a little bit of color. Benetint is not exactly a 2 in 1 product - a blush and a lipstick, it's more of an addition to your makeup routine. For me chachatint is a good product and it serves its purpose.
High beam is a liquid highlighter with a pink undertone, it does not have shimmer in it. The effect is quite discreet, it just gives the skin a little bit of a glow. You can mix High beam with your foundation, it looks pretty applied on the cheekbones, over the upper lip, on the nose. This highlighter is great for women like me who does not like glitter on their face. I got 4 ml. of chachatint and 4 ml.of High beam in the set.
The pleasant surprise for me from this set was the CORALista Ultra Plush lipgloss. I really like this product - it's not sticky, the formulation is hydrating, it smells divine of tropical fruits. This lipgloss is quite sheer, but it gives some color. I don't think that this is one of those product that make your lips look fuller. It has the words Ultra Plush in its name but I didn't feel any reaction on my lips and I don't see any effect. These lipglosses are kind of like Lancome Juicy Tubes, but they are not sticky (in my opinion Lancome Juicy Tubes are the stickiest lipglosses ever made). Every Benefit Box'o Powder has a corresponding Ultra Plush lipgloss and this fact is not great for my finances.
