The neutral L’Oreal palette is finally available here in Bulgaria. I bought it mainly because of the packaging. It’s almost identical to the packaging of the YSL eyeshadow palettes. L’Oreal owns YSL so this of course is understandable. L’Oreal Beige looks quite similar in terms of colours to the YSL palette in Nude. I personally really like the packaging, it’s great for travelling, you can carry it in your handbag. This L'Oreal palette looks different in the different countries. There are differences in the colours and in the packaging. I own the one that you can buy in Bulgaria. The price is around 16 euro.
I didn’t expect much from this palette, but I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the eyeshadows is not as good as the quality in the more expensive and famous palettes, but you can definitely get good results with it. You get 10 eyeshadows - 4 shimmery (pearly) and 6 matte. The matte eyeshadows are better. This palette is OK for everyday use. The quality is not good enough for professional makeup. The eyeshadows from MAC, Urban Decay, Stila, Ingot and s.o. are much more pigmented and vivid.
The shades in L'Oreal La palette nude are pretty and wearable, but there aren’t any unique colours. If you own a lot of makeup the colour selection won’t impress you. I definitely enjoy using the matte shades as crease colours. There’s no fallout with the shimmery shades, they’re not very pigmented, but you can build them up easily. The eyeshadows blend well.
In my opinion this palette is a good option for women who are just now starting out with makeup or just want a palette for everyday use. If you own a lot of makeup or you are looking for something like the Urban Decay Naked palette you may end up disappointed.
