I've been wanting to write a post about these two Bourjois products for a while. I use the Silk edition powder and the Happy light concealer in my everyday makeup routine. I really like both products.
Bourjois Silk Edition powder
I know that all beauty bloggers rave about the other Bourjois powder - Healthy balance. My plan was to get it, but I bought the new Silk Edition powder instead. It comes in a really cute packaging with a mirror inside. I've had a few Bourjois products with a similar packaging like their BB cream (review here), but now the packaging has changed a little, they've moved the sponge on top of the product. I like the new packaging better than the old one. You get 9 g. of product.
I have the lightest shade 52 Vanilla. I like the texture of this powder - finely milled, very silky. Silk edition has a light to medium coverage and it can't replace the foundation. I can see a difference in my skin - the powder evens out my complexion and blurs the imperfections.
I have a combination to oily skin, but I've never had problems with shining. That's why I can't say how good it is in mattifying the skin and how long the effect lasts. The powder itself is quite long-lasting, I can feel it on my skin hours after I've applied it. It has a nice scent, but it is not overwhelming.
Bourjois Silk edition is a nice finishing powder. It can work for you if you want just a light coverage product which evens out the complexion. It's a really lovely powder!
Bourjois Happy light Ultra-covering concealer
I wanted to try the Bourjois Happy light range, but I thought that it can't be found in Bulgaria. While I was looking for the powder I spotted the Happy light concealer. I like creamy concealers, they can cover almost everything. You can use Happy light to cover imperfections, under the eyes and even as an eyeshadow base. This type of concealers usually have formulations that are too dry. Happy light is the most hydrating one I've tried, but you still need to apply it on a well moisturized skin.
The product is available in two shades, I have the light one 21 Ivoire. This concealer has a brightening effect, but it does not contain any shimmer. Happy light has an orange undertone and applied under the eyes it neutralizes the darkness and really brightens the eye area. I haven't noticed any creasing. I haven't used it as an eyeshadow base, but you can definitely use it as a base too. You get 2,5 g. of product in the packaging.
To be honest this is one of the best concealers I've ever tried and you can use this product for a lot of things. I definitely recommend it!
