This post was supposed to be a summer post, but I am behind my blogging schedule. I quite like the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks and when I heard this summer that their new sheer version is finally available in my country, I immediately headed for the drugstore. Unfortunately we got only 3 or 4 shades here in Bulgaria. All colors are quite summery, but pretty, so I bought the shade 600 Spin All Spring. The color is a pinky coral with a little bit of shimmer (I couldn’t catch the shimmer in the photos).
The original Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks are hydrating, well pigmented and smell quite strongly of Nivea cream. I own two shades, but I haven’t written about them. The new Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine lipsticks are semi-opaque, not as strongly scented and they smell of something different. It’s not the fragrance that bothers me, but the fact that it comes with some weird taste. The formulation is very similar to that of a lip butter - very hydrating, melts when it touches the skin, almost no longevity. If you suffer from dry lips, you’ll like it. These lipsticks are not anything unique, there are a lot of similar lipsticks in the drugstore. Maybelline Color Whisper is a close dupe when it comes to the formulation. You get the generous 4 g., but it won’t last long because of the buttery formula.
Rimmel Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine is a decent product, but is not something new or groundbreaking which you can’t miss. To be honest I prefer the opaque version of these lipsticks.
