6.01.2014
I decided to change a little bit the way I write about books this year. One of the reasons is that this year I challenged myself on Goodreads to read 50 books in 2014, this makes a book a week. This number may not look that much to a lot of people but I want to have a realistic goal and also I don't want to forget that no mаtter how much I love books I also have a life that I need to live.
From now on at the beginning of every month I will be publishing the titles of four books which I will read. I am going to review some of them. At the end of the month I'll be writing a post, something like a conclusion about my reading this month. I will try to read more than 4 books a month, but I don't want to be stressing too much about it.
Some of the books that I am writing about are not yet published in Bulgarian. I just like to read books that are quite new and Bulgarian is not one of the most popular languages. From now on when I see a book that I have written about or that I want to read in Bulgarian I will be publishing its cover on Facebook and Twitter. The four books that I chose to read this month are:
1."Fangirl" by Rainbow Rowell
Page number:448
Publication date: September 2013
Translated in Bulgarian: no, but a lot of websites refuse to deliver the Rainbow Rowell's books to Bulgaria so it may be published in Bulgarian soon
I have only a few pages left from this book which is one of the 2013 bestsellars. It is a pretty light fun read. I won't be getting too much into it because I'll be writing a review for sure.
2."Eleonor and Park" by Rainbow Rowell
Page number:336
Publication date: February 2013
Translated in Bulgarian: no
This is the other bestsellar by Rainbow Rowell. As far as I know this book is about some sort of a strange love relationship between two teenagers. "Eleonor and Park" is compared to "The fault in our stars" (review here) by John Green and I am really interested in reading it.
3. "Allegiant" by Veronica Roth
Page number:544
Publication date: October 2013
Translated in Bulgarian: yes
"Allegiant" is the final book in the Divergent trilogy (you can read more about it here). I bought this book on the day it was published but I read a lot of negative reviews and now I am afraid to read it. This month I am finally reading it and I hope I like it because I love the other books in the series.
4."Dash & Lily's Book of Dares" by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
Page number:272
Publication date: October 2011
Translated in Bulgarian: no
I heard that this book is a really good winter read that you can read while you're curled up in your bed with a cup of cocoa. Lily leaves a notebook full with dares on a shelf in a bookstore and Dash finds it. This book is a romantic story from the authors of "Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist" (Do you remember this movie?).
