Wakey wakey, makeup lovers! Beautylovesbooks here with a new gossip about our favourite It girl Blake Lively. Everyone knows her and everyone is talking. Blake put her name on a lipstick! And the most shocking thing of all - it is a red! Blake is one of the new faces of L'OREAL and we are all jealous. The lipstick is called Blake's pure red and it is a classic red colour. It is a part of the new L'OREAL Collection Exclusive which includes only matte red lipsticks signed by famous actresses like Julianne Moore, Freida Pinto, Eva Longoria and a few others. All the shades are really pretty and every woman can find her perfect red lipstick. I liked the colours signed by Julianne and Freida the most, but even I bought Blake's lipstick. Who doesn't want to be Serena van der Woodsen!
The packaging is beautiful - matte printed black and gold, but the important thing is the product itself. I've been a fan of the Color Riche lipsticks for years. The formulation of Blake's pure red is supposed to be matte, but it is not completely matte! This lipstick is hydrating and the finish is somewhere between a matte and a satin. I sense some change in the way the Color Riche lipsticks smell. Many bloggers complained that these lipsticks have a very strong scent and apparently L'OREAL have listened so now the scent is not so overwhelming. I personally liked the way they smelled before! Blake's pure red is a pretty red lipstick and it is definitely a shade that the glamorous Serena would wear.
Another new L'OREAL product are the Color Riche Mono eyeshadows. I bought the shade 500 Lumiere (Gold mania) - a gold shade. I decided that this eyeshadow looks great with the red lipstick and they'll be perfect for the holidays. You know how much I love parties! The gold eyeshadows work great with neutral everyday shades too. I've heard a lot of good things about these eyeshadows and the formulation is indeed great. 500 Lumiere has some shimmer in it, but I didn't experience any fallout with it. The eyeshadow blends beautifully and it is very pigmented. To be honest I picked this shade mainly because of the pretty packaging and the print. You get 5 g. of product.
