I've been using the new KIKO CC cream cushion system for a week now, but I wanted to publish my review as soon as possible because it is a limited edition product. There's a lot of hype around the cushion foundations at the moment, with them you get a liquid foundation in a compact packaging.
KIKO CC cream cushion system is basically a sponge soaked with a CC cream. This type of packaging is supposed to be easy to carry around in your bag. In my opinion this sponge is not very hygienic and I kind of prefer the standard packaging for this reason alone. The porous structure of the sponge is supposed to help the thick formula of the CC cream stay fresh and easy to use. KIKO CC cream cushion system comes with a disc pad, but you can still use a brush or your fingers to apply it. This CC cream has medium to full coverage, it's easy to apply, it evens out the skintone, it has a creamy formula. The product has SPF25.
There are 6 shades in the range - 2 with pink undertones, 2 with beige and 2 with neutral. Mine is in the shade 03 Warm Beige, this colour is great for girls with fair skin like myself. The formulation is hydrating and it looks natural. The colour is a little bit too yellowish for my taste. The packaging is really pretty and stable, I managed to drop it a few times already and it's absolutely fine. You get a mirror too.
The product itself is quite good, but I want to point out something important. The other cushion foundation that is coming out this spring is Lancôme Miracle Cushion Fluid Foundation. Lancôme is a high end beauty brand so I decided to go with KIKO because it is budget friendly. When I got it I noticed that you get 10 ml. of product instead of the standard 30 ml..KIKO CC cream cushion system costs 15,90 euro, so basically it's like buying a high end foundation. For comparison Lancôme Miracle Cushion Fluid costs 29,90 pounds in feelunique.com and you get 14 g. of product. There are refills too, the price of these is 19,90 pounds. The Lancôme has an anti-age effect too.
I like KIKO CC cream cushion system and I don't regret buying it. I would even purchase it again, but this CC cream is probably KIKO's most expensive offering.
