When I heard that KIKO are releasing eyeshadows with a new innovative formula I was quite intrigued. I read about the Cool Touch eyeshadows in a few blogs, but I couldn't still figure out what exactly is that special about them. My curiosilty took over and I ordered the shade 05 Sought platinum.
The Cool touch eyeshadows are a part of the KIKO Generation next collection and they come in the same gorgeous packaging as the rest of the items in the collection. So what are these eyeshadows? There's a MAC product called Crushed metallic pigments. These pigments have a wet effect, you apply them dry, but they look like you've used a wet brush. I don't recommend these eyeshadows - they don't apply evenly and they are full of glitter which goes all over your face, they are not a good product. The only reason I haven't trown them away is because they were quite expensive.
So let's get back to KIKO Cool Touch eyeshadows. They have the same concept as the Crushed metallic pigments - pigments with a wet effect. The KIKO pigments are pressed. They feel wet when you touch them. The packaging is supposed to preserve the qualities of the product.
KIKO Cool Touch eyeshadows smell kind of weird of alcohol and are quite shimmery. They apply evenly and look really pretty. There's fallout, but it's not that bad and if you play with different eyeshadow bases you can probably even fix the problem.
The shade that I have 05 Sought platinum is a really pretty platinum colour. If you like highlighters with glitter in them you can even use it on your cheeks. The only other platinum highlighter that I've seen was the one in the Chanel Christmas collection.
You get 5 g. of product in the packaging. I like KIKO Cool Touch eyeshadows, but I personally wear eyeshadows with metallic finishe only when I go to a party or disco. Do you often wear glittery eyeshadows?
