Happy 2018! Wishing you all a year full of health, peace and exciting new adventures!
I’ve never been a huge fan of highlighters. Becca products have special place in my heart, but overall I’m not too keen on shimmer on my face. This year started with a huge change in me, I finally got into strobing. At the moment I’m looking for a liquid product to mix with my foundation, all recommendations are welcomed.
The highlighter from the Catrice limited edition collection Kaviar gauche got a lot of positive reviews. I don’t usually gravitate towards this brand and had no idea whether their highlighters are good or not. After I saw this one in the store, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I would have bought it immediately, but someone was kind enough to leave a fingerprint on the last one left in the drugstore. A few days later I manage to find a highlighter that was not compromised and I finally bought it.
Kaviar gauche is a beige-gold highlighter and works great for both everyday use and strobing.
The quantity
This product is huge, the impressive 35,7 g.. In comparison the Becca highlighters are 8 g. each. They could have made it smaller and accordingly cheaper, but that’s how things are. I think that it’s supposed to be used all over the face for strobing.
The formulation
I was pleasantly surprised because this product is not at all powdery. It does not contain sparkles. I would say it’s the comfortable middle ground when it comes to intensity. It looks very natural and at the same time it allows layering for a stronger effect. The powder products usually do not last on me. Kaviar gauche lasts for about 3 hours.
The packaging
It’s a product from the drugstore so the packaging is plastic. The print on the product itself is very pretty.
In a nutshell
This highlighter is beautiful and great for everyday use and for strobing. You get a huge amount of product. I personally like it and I recommend it. The product is limited edition.
P.S. The highlighter is bought with my own money and the opinion is personal.
