When Clinique Chubby sticks were originally released I really liked the idea. The product showed up on Victoria's secret fashion show, on the Tv shows Hart of Dixie and Prettty little liars. When I read the reviews online about how unpigmented they are I end up not buying it. Not too long ago Clinique released a more pigmented verison Chubby Stick intense. This time I bought one of the colours 08 Grandest Grape. Of course all make-up brands start releasing similar products. Revlon released Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. I own the colour Rendez-vous. In this post I am going to make a short comparison between the two products.
Clinique Chubby Stick intense
Colours - There are some incredible and unique colours. There is a good chance you would buy this product just because you are in love with a certain colour.
Scent - Clinique are famous with the fact that they don't add artificial scents to their products so they sometimes smell of chemicals. Chubby stick intense smells a little bit like an old lipstick. I would prefer for them to have changed the scent.
Formulation - They are hydrating but not hydrating enough for my dry lips.
How do they apply? - The dark colours like the one that I own do not apply precisely enough and the colour can look uneven. I suppose that the light shades do not have this problem.
How long do they last? - Around 4-5 hours on my lips.
Pigmentation - The product is really intensely pigmented, it is like a lipstick.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain
Colours - All the colours are pretty but none of them is unique.
Scent - They are mint scented. I personally love mint so I like it.
Formulation - Pretty hydrating! I like it a lot.
How do they apply? - They apply easy and precisely.
How long do they last? - Also around 4-5 hours.
Pigmentation - They are definately pigmented but not as much as Clinique Chubby stick intense.
My choice - Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain because it is almost 3 times cheaper, its formulation is more hydrating, it is easier to apply and it smells nice.
