When it comes to makeup products I believe in love at first sight. When I first applied the new Illamasqua Vintage Metallix eyeshadow in the shade Biblot my heart skipped a beat. I wanted to buy the shade Courtier, but Biblot was the only Vintage Metallix eyeshadow available on the Illamasqua website when I was placing my order. Illamasqua Vintage Metallix eyeshadows are a part of the Once collection. There are three shades - Courtier, Embellish and Biblot. They are here to stay though and I'll probably buy all colors at some point. I liked all products from the Once collection, they are all either a part of the Illamasqua permanent range already or they are new, but not limited edition. If you like something you can buy it anytime. I also got the Illamasqua Sheer lipgloss in the shade Exquisite, it is also a part of the Once collection.
Illamasqua Vintage Metallix eyeshadows are cream eyeshadows. The packaging is really beautiful - a glass jar with rose gold lid. The writing on my eyeshadow started to come off though. You get 5 ml. of product. The only thing that I don't like about this eyeshadow is the way it smells. I can't figure out what is it but it is not pleasant. The shade Biblot is very difficult to describe - greenish grey color with gold shimmer. It looks amazing on brown eyes. This eyeshadow looks like you've spend hours on your eye makeup and I can definitely say that Biblot makes you look like a modern female aristocrat. Blair Woldorf would love this shade. I haven't been that impressed with an eyeshadow for a long time and I highly recommend it!
Illamasqua Sheer Lipgloss smells amazing of strawberries. The shade Exquisite is a light nude, but it is very sheer and it has a very interesting shimmer running through it. I mainly use it over my lipsticks to add a pretty effect. The formulation is hydrating and you get 7 ml. of product.
I like both products, but the eyeshadow is just gorgeous!
