The new Benefit blush Majorette is definitely an interesting product. I quite like the ad too. Benefit Majorette is a cream to powder blush which can be worn on its own or under a powder blush. I've never tried anything like it before. Majorette is supposed to make the powder blush applied on top of it more vibrant.
The packaging is a cartoon box, but it is quite durable and there is a mirror inside it too. You get 7g. of product. The formulation is very easy to apply, it applies as a cream blush, but it dries as a powder blush. It smells really nice of peach and pomegranate. Applied on its own the blush is very natural looking, it's a coral shade. It lasts a long time too.
I was really curious to test how it looks with different powder blush shades on top of it. Under a coral shade of course it looks amazing, but I wasn't that sure how it would look under pink, brown and purple. I don't know how thay've done it, but it really makes every one of the blushes I own more vibrant. I especially like how it looks under Benefit Rockateur (more here), because Rockateur is a very natural shade and sometimes it does not show up that well. Majorette changes the colours a little bit especially the pinks like MAC Subtle Breeze. If you own a blush that is not very pigmented and you can not really see it on your skin like this Catrice blush that I own, Majorette can make it wearable.
I really like this product and I think it is going to be one of my most worn blushes. Benefit Majorette looks great applied on its own and in combination with a powder blush. Its formulation is very pigmented and you have to be careful not to go overboard with the blusher.
