 Benefit they're Real! push-up liner

27.10.2014

I am a huge fan of the Benefit they're real! mascara so when I heard that they are releasing an eyeliner I was very excited to try it. This product is getting mix reviews in the blogging world. Sadly I am among the women who does not like this eyeliner.

Benefit they're Real! push-up liner is definitely something new and interesting - it's a gel eyeliner in a pen form. The packaging is very attractive as with all Benefit products. You get 1,4 g. of product.

First I'll tell you what I like about this eyeliner. Benefit push-up liner is very long-lasting, it does not smudge or flake troughout the day and the colour is a very intense black colour. It is very easy to create the feline flick at the outer corner of the lid with this eyeliner. The tip of the Benefit push-up liner is a flexible silicon tip with an unique lash-hugging shape which keeps the eyelashes out of the way while you are drawing the line.

I find this product to be very difficult to use. This is a personal opinion but I definitely prefer to use a gel eyeliner with a brush or a liquid liner. Because the tip is a silicon one I am constantly worried that it might be too harsh for the sensitive skin around the eyes. I read that women have difficulties achieving a thin line with this pen - you can apply a thin line, just not a precise one. You may like the application though, I can't say that Benefit push-up liner is a bad product just because I can't use it.

My real problem with this eyeliner is the formulation. While you are applying it it flakes, parts of the gel crumble and it is really annoying. After it dries it does not budge all day and I don't have any problems with it. Benefit they're Real! push-up liner is difficult to remove, but Bioderma does a great job. With a lot of makeup removers no matter how hard I rub the line is still there, it just flakes.

Benefit they're Real! push-up liner is a totaly new concept and I am happy that I tried it, but it is an expensive product and I regret spending money for something that I am not a big fan of. I am sure that there will be a lot of cheaper dupes for this product soon. If you are curious about this type of eyeliners I advice you to wait a little bit for the more affordable alternatives because you may not like them.
