There is a lot of hype at the moment around the Bourjois lipstick in the shade Pamplemousse. This colour was discontinued a few years ago. Pamplemousse used to be a crowd favourite and people started selling it on eBay for crazy amounts of money. Now Bourjois is bringing this shade back because of the high demand and it is a part of the new Rouge Edition 12h range.
Of course I had to find out why this shade is so popular. At the moment the Rouge Edition 12h lipsticks are 27% off in Bulgaria. Pamplemoussе is a coraly pink colour, it is one of these shades that look great on almost everyone. The real magic of this lipstick is the finish, it has a very beautiful pearly sheen and it brightens your face after you apply it. I guess it can also make you look younger. The colour looks bright, but it is quite wearable. I wear it as an everyday lipstick. It is definitely more of a spring or a summer shade.
The formulation of the Rouge Edition 12h lipsticks is almost the same as the formulation of the Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks (you can read more about them here), but it is slightly drier. They have the same packaging plus a writing that says 12h. They even smell like the Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks. I like the scent of these lipsticks - it is pleasant and not overwhelming. You get 3,5 g. of product in the packaging.
The formulation of this lipstick is hydrating and very light, you barely feel it on your lips. As you can guess, it does not last 12h, on my lips it lasts around 6 hours. Rouge Edition 12h are basicly hydrating lipsticks, they are not long-lasting.
I haven't owned the original Pamplemousse lipstick, but I read online that women are complaining that the formulation is changed and the new lipstick does not last that long. I think that the Rouge Edition lipsticks are the best range of Bourjois lipsticks. I have very dry lips and I prefer the more hydrating formulations.
The shade 23 Pamplemousse is very pretty, I like the formulation of the Rouge Edition 12h lipsticks. The only thing you should keep in mind is that this product is not very long-lasting, it is more of a hydrating lipstick.
