Clinique Cheek Pop blush and Clinique Pop lip colour + primer lipstick in the shade Plum Pop

Clinique is a brand best known for its skincare. I've always fancied more their makeup line. I bought two of their relatively new products this summer and here is what I think about them:

Clinique Pop lip colour + primer lipstick in the shade 14 Plum Pop

These lipsticks are very popular in the blogging world. I officially joined the club. Clinique Pop lip colour + primer is supposed to be a 2 in 1 product - a lipstick and a primer in one. My idea of a lip base is something a little bit different. I use lip primers under the more drying lipsticks. The formulation of Clinique Pop lip colour is indeed interesting - very hydrating, but it lasts on the lips longer than your typical hydrating lippie. You get a good amount of product - 3,9 g.. The shade that I own Plum Pop is a lovely everyday plumy-pink shade. All Clinique products are fragrance-free (no added scents), the lipstick smells of its ingredients - a little bit like in the old days. I really enjoy the formulation and I reach for this lipstick quite often. I definitely recommend it! We can expect a sheer version of this lipsticks and also lip lacquers from Clinique this spring.

To be honest the main reason I got this blush was the print. It looks really pretty and the print remains even after you've started using the product. I got the shade Plum Pop, because I wanted it to go with the lipstick. As you can see from the swatches the colours actually have nothing in common. The blush is a light pink shade with a subtle shimmer. The colour is perfect for spring and it looks amazing if you combine it with a highlighter on your cheekbones. When I first started using it I was not blown away by it, but it grew on me and now I love it. It's relatively long-lasting for a powder blusher - we're talking about 4-5 hours. You'll probably be able to find a similar colour and formulation in the drugstore, this blush is not that unique. The packaging is plastic and not very stable, but it's definitely beautiful. You get 3,5 g. of product. I know that there are new shades added to the range in the US and the new colours are more interesting. I hope we get them here! I like this blush and I'll probably wear it a lot this spring.
