I quite like the L’Oreal Color Riche lipsticks and I’ve used a few of them throughout the years. The collections dedicated to celebrities are my favourite and I always end up buying at least one shade. Last year’s reds were just amazing, I own two of them and I highly recommend them (you can read more here). I’ve written about one of the nudes here.
The new Collection Exclusive is all about the pink shades. I fell in love with the colour signed by Blake Lively - Blake’s Delicate rose. In the bullet this shade looks like a gorgeous bright pink. The finish is matte so I expected it to be intensely pigmented. All Color Riche lipsticks that I’ve used have been well pigmented. I guess I should have guessed it by the name - Blake’s Delicate rose, but this lipstick is sheer. You don’t get the colour you see in the bullet on your lips, you get I a delicate pink colour. The finish is matte so it emphasises all imperfections of the lips. The lipstick does not dry out my lips and it lasts around 5 hours.
I have mixed feelings about Blake’s Delicate rose. I just don’t like matte lipsticks that are not opaque. I like my everyday sheer lip colours to have a hydrating formula and some shine. I also had certain expectations because I have used the Color Riche lipsticks before.
I know that the most popular shade from the collection La vie en rose is the Naomi Campbell one. The red Color Riche lipsticks are great, the nudes are nice too. I don’t recommend Blake’s Delicate rose.
