The summer collection that impressed me the most this year was definitely the collaboration between Jaclyn Hill and Becca cosmetics - the Champagne collection. I ordered the face palette and the eyeshadow palette, but I got wait listed. This turned out to be a good thing because the eyeshadow palette was discontinued from the collection. Becca refunded me and even gave me a discount code and free shipping for my next order. Of course I took advantage, but more about it in another post.
Sadly I don’t see this palette anywhere online, but new products called Champagne splits are on their way - different combinations of a brush and a highlighter from the palette.
The packaging is gorgeous and it comes with a lovely mirror. You get a good amount of product, the total is 20,4 g.. I bought it for 48 pounds. I think it is a good investment considering the high quality of this product. A single Becca highlighter contains 8 g..
In the palette you can of course find the popular Champagne Pop which I already own (my review is here). This is my favourite highlighter so the fact that I now own two does not bother me. Now I have one in my palette at home and one for my handbag. The other highlighter Prosseco Pop pleasantly surprised me. Jaclyn herself admitted that it will look very yellow on fair skin tones like mine. I wear it as an everyday highlighter in combination with Amaretto (one of the Champagne splits is this exact combination). I would say that it’s more pretencious, but it’s definitely wearable.
There are two matte blushes in this palette. Amaretto is a 2 in 1 blush and bronzer product and I totally love it. Pamplemousse is a bright pink, it’s quite easy to make yourself look like a clown with this one. All products in this palette are highly pigmented. The last blush is Rose Splitz, it’s a gorgeous rose gold colour with shimmer. My only problem with this one is that it slightly emphasises my pores.
The Becca highlighters are amazing and I think that they are worth splurging on. If you can still get the palette or get some of the Champagne splits I highly recommend them.
