I was kind of hesitant to order this palette. I like rose gold eyeshadows and I am sure that I am going to use it a lot. The problem was that I already own Urban Decay Naked 3 palette which is similar to Princess.
Lately I’ve been sporting the other Zoeva palette that I own - Naturally yours (review here) and I am impressed with the quality of the eyeshadows, they blend beautifully. Zoeva Princess palette costs 17,5 € and you get ten eyeshadows, 1,5 g. each. You also get samples of the two Zoeva eyeshadow fixes.
The quality of all ten shades is really good. The eyeshadows are very pigmented and easy to blend. It’s definitely a good investment!
When I got my palette and opened it one of the eyeshadows fell out. I immediately warned everyone around me not to move and spent ten minuted tiptoeing and looking for the pan. I found it and glued it back on so the crisis was avoided. So be sure to check if all the eyeshadows are well glued, you may lose an eyeshadow because of this little problem.
There’s no highlighter in this palette. The lightest shade Luster is a very interesting light matte brown. This colour though does not work as a highlighter, it may work for women with dark skin tones. This palette is not great for newbies and women who don’t own other eyeshadows. There aren’t many dark shades in Princess too, it contains mostly eyeshadows that can be worn all over the lid. You need to reach for shades out of this palette.
There’s a few very unique and beautiful eyeshadows in Princess in colours that are not easy to find. Just a rose for example is a very unique pink with gold glitter. This palette is quite wearable, the colours are more towards bronze and gold not towards red.
The packaging is a cartboard box, but I like it because it’s very slim and compact.
How does Princess compare to UD Naked 3? The two palettes are definitely not identical. Three of the shades are indeed almost dupes and another two are very similar, but for me Princess is not a dupe for Naked 3. If you own the Urban Decay palette you know that there are some beautiful darker shades there, there’s a nice highlighter, but the all over the lid shades are either too pink or the quality is not that great. Zoeva Princess comes with a lot of great all over the lid shades which Naked 3 does not have. I own both palettes and I don’t regret it.
